How to extend the service life of sewage pump
1. Do not start the power supply abnormally
Because the low voltage supply line is longer, it is common for the end of the line to be too low. When the phase voltage is lower than 198 volts and the line voltage is lower than 342 volts, the motor speed of the sewage pump will decrease. When it is less than 70% of the rated speed, the starting centrifugal switch will close, resulting in a long time of electrifying and heating or even burning the winding and capacitor. On the contrary, too high voltage causes the motor to overheat and burn out the winding. Therefore, in the operation of sewage pump, the operator must observe the power supply voltage value at any time, if less than 10% of the rated voltage, higher than the rated voltage of more than 10%, should make the motor stop running, find out the cause and troubleshoot.
2. Confirm the correct rotation direction of the motor
The direction of rotation of the motor should be made clear. Now there are many types of sewage pumps that can produce water when they are turning positive and reversing. However, when the water output is small and the current is large, the reversal time will damage the motor winding.
3. Installation of leakage protector
Leakage protector is also called life-saving device, its role from the "life-saving device" these three words can be understood. Because the sewage pump works under water, it is easy to leak electricity and cause electric energy loss or even electric shock accident. If equipped with leakage protector, as long as the leakage value of the sewage pump exceeds the operating current value of the leakage protector (generally not more than 30 MA), the leakage protector will cut off the power supply of the sewage pump, to ensure reliability, while avoiding leakage and waste of electric energy.
4, cable installation and submersible pump insulation resistance requirements
When installing sewage pump, the cable should be overhead, and the power cable should not be too long. Do not force the cable when the sewage pump is launched or raised, so as to avoid breakage of the power line. Do not sink into the mud when the sewage pump is working, otherwise it will lead to poor heat dissipation of the motor and burn out the motor winding. When installed, the insulation resistance of the motor should not be less than 0.5 megohm.
5. Avoid frequent switching
Do not frequently switch on and off the sewage pump, because the pump will produce reflux when it stops running, if it starts immediately, it will make the motor load start, resulting in too much starting current and burn the winding. Due to the high starting current, frequent starting will also burn the motor winding of sewage pump.
6, do not let the sewage pump long-term overload work
In order to avoid long-term overload of sewage pump, do not pump water with large sediment content and observe at any time whether the current value is specified on the nameplate. If the current is found to be too large, it should be stopped for inspection. In addition, the water pump dehydration operation time should not be too long, so as not to make the motor overheat and burn.
7. Pay attention to daily maintenance
Usually to check the motor, such as cracks found under the cover, rubber seal ring damage or failure, should be replaced or repaired in time to avoid water infiltration into the sewage pump.
